New Sunny retains throne among Japanese models

Nissan’s New Sunny retained its ranking as best-selling Japanese car in the first quarter of 2016, selling 3,053 units at a total value of EGP 363.3m.

Mitsubishi Lancer EX came in second place with sales of 1,710 cars at EGP 285m, followed by Nissan Sentra with 1,460 units valued at EGP 237m.

Subaru XV maintained fourth place with 703 cars at EGP 179m, followed by Toyota Corolla in fifth place with 669 cars valued at EGP 147.1m.

Nissan’s New Sunny has topped the sales of Japanese cars in January and February, as 1,680 cars have been sold over those two months for EGP 199.9m.

Mitsubishi Lancer EX also came in the second place with sales of 1,053 valued at EGP 168m.

Nissan Sentra came in third place selling 966 units over the first two months of the year at EGP 144.9m.

Subaru XV was ranked fourth after selling 472 cars at EGP 118m, followed by Nissan Qashqai in fifth place with 335 cars worth EGP 82m.
