The Ministry of Social Solidarity started the actual implementation of the Forsa programme in cooperation with the Shaghalni online recruitment site. The Forsa programme is complementary to the conditional cash subsidy programme of the Takaful and Karama programme.

Forsa is meant to establish a mechanism to link the children of families receiving cash subsidies and job seekers with the opportunity to work so that the families can escape poverty through real opportunities for employment and fixed income.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity has prepared a number of initiatives in this regard and a large number of protocols, which it has begun to sign with the Shaghalni website.

The Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Waly said that the strategy of the Ministry of Social Solidarity is based on three axes, namely welfare, protection, and social development, noting that the ministry targets providing jobs for youth and women. “The ministry has signed the agreement with Shaghalni to create job opportunities for young people, as the website in turn aims to help many young people of different age groups and experiences to get the right job opportunities,” she added.

Waly pointed out that the Ministry of Social Solidarity has placed Shaghalni website in direct contact with families and youth registered with the ministry’s databases in the cash subsidy support programme to help them find suitable job opportunities.

Omar Khalifa, managing director of Shaghalni, said that the cooperation with the ministry aims to encourage young people to register on the website from Egypt’s different governorates and add their fields of specialisation and their data in full to obtain a suitable job opportunity from companies registered on the site, noting that there are over 4,000 companies registered on the website.
