President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will participate in the G20 meetings held in Osaka, Japan, this weekend and will conclude on June 29.

The G20 summit is expected to discuss trade, digital economy, and innovation. It is also expected to witness several bilateral meetings between world leaders and between heads of superpowers.

United States President Donald Trump is expected to meet one-on-one with at least eight world leaders at the G20 summit in Japan this week, including China’s President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Earlier this month, finance leaders from the G20 ended a two-day meeting with the conclusion that trade tension was the “major” headwind facing the global economy.

The Group of 20 leading economic nations accounts for roughly two-thirds of the world population and 80% of world trade.

The G20 came to replace the G8 group of wealthiest countries in 2009. The member states are Argentina; Australia; Brazil; Canada; China; European Union; France; Germany; India; Indonesia; Italy; Japan; Mexico; Russia; Saudi Arabia; South Africa; South Korea; Turkey; the United Kingdom, and the United States.
