EIPICO to export 100,000 Remdesivir vials to 11 countries

The Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries Company (EIPICO) has signed a cooperation agreement with World Medicine, the company’s agent in CIS countries, to supply 100,000 vials of its Remdesivir vaccine to Eastern Europe.

The countries that will receive the Egyptian manufactured vaccine are Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Belarus, Kurdistan, Tajikistan, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

Since the beginning of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in March, EIPICO has produced millions of packages of preparations that Egypt’s Ministry of Health has used against the virus.

EIPICO was established in 1980 in the 10th of Ramadan City, and began production in 1985 as a pharmaceutical industry company in accordance with the rules of good production practices.

The company manufactures more than 400 pharmaceutical preparations covering 25 treatment groups. Its products are exported to more than 65 countries around the world, ensuring it has a market share of 21% of Egypt’s total pharmaceutical exports.
