The 2016 Arab Volleyball Clubs Champions Championship in its 34th edition is held in Sousse and Masakin, Tunisia. It started in 19 February and concluded its events Sunday.

The victory went to the Tunisian club, Étoile Sportive du Sahel, while Egyptian club, Smouha SC won in second place. In the final match, Étoile Sportive du Sahel won over Smouha SC with the scores of 25-19, 25,18, 19-25, 31-29, and the final result of 3-1.

Étoile Sportive du Sahel qualified to the final match due to his win over the Libyan club, As-Swehly SC, with the score of 25-18, 25-13, 22-25, 25-17, and the final score of 3-1.

Egyptian Smouha SC qualified to the final match after defeating the Tunisian Club, Club Sportif Sfaxien, 25-22, 27-25, 20-25, 23-25, 13-15, where the final result was 3-2.

Smouha SC was the only club to represent Egypt in this championship and this is the first time it to wins in second place since this championship started in 1978.

Back to the 2016 championship, and in the match played to determine which club will end in the third place and which in the fourth, Tunisia’s Club Sportif Sfaxien defeated Libya’s AS-Swehly, with the score of 25-20, 25-23, 25-11 and the total score of 3-0, so Tunisia’s Club Sportif Sfaxien won the bronze medal.
