Xerox acquires 75% of local printer market

Xerox managed to increase its market share in the Egyptian market in the field of printers by 12%, taking its market share from 63% in 2016 to 75% in 2017, according to the most recent data issued by the International Data Corporation (IDC).

According to the IDC, the graphic sector is considered one of the most important sectors that contributed to the growth of Xerox’s business in the Egyptian market. The sector represents 40% of the volume of the company’s business. It is the sector responsible for the production of high-quality printers that contributed to the development of the traditional printing devices and turning them into ones that operate on creativity, allowing the user more possibilities.

Following the launch of digital printing devices from Xerox Egypt four years ago, it has successfully entered into contracts with approximately 200 customers, including hospitals and medical and radiology centres.

For his part, Ashraf Nathan, the general manager of graphics at Xerox, said that the company is working to offer after-sale services to all customers inside Egypt in order to maintain its market share and increase it, relying on a group of engineers specialised in the field of digital printing.

The graphic sector at Xerox is working to serve several business sectors, including printing, advertising and marketing, print-on-demand, and colour separation partnerships.
