The mobile market has seen a decline in the number of mobile subscribers in March, as the market lost about 1.2 million users in that month, taking the total number of subscribers from 100.2 million in February to 99.1 million in March 2018.
Despite the decline, Vodafone managed to attract 227,800 new customers, making it the only company among the three mobile companies that are mentioned in the report issued by the Telecommunications and Ministry to see a growth in the number of subscribers.
The number of Vodafone’s subscribers increased from 42.9 million in February to 43.1 million in March 2018.
According to the report, Orange lost about 591,800 customers in March.
The number of Orange’s subscribers declined from 33.2 million in February to reach 32.6 million in March 2018.
Etisalat Misr was the company to lose the largest number of subscribers in March, as it lost about 706,300 subscribers.
The number of subscribers in Etisalat Misr declined from 21.3 million in February to 20.6 million in March.
