Finance Ministry provides EGP 10.2bn as urgent allocations in different sectors

The Minister of Finance, Mohamed Moeit, approved on Tuesday EGP 10.2bn as urgent allocations for both months January and February, to the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), the Egyptian National Railways (ENR), the General Authority for Health Insurance (GAHI), and the National Media Authority (NMA).

“The allocations included EGP 8bn for the GASC, which is the value of the financial support for the goods bought through ration cards, the differences of bread points, and the differences in the costs of manufacturing bread in January and February,” according to the finance ministry.

The allocations also included EGP 440m, EGP 210m for the NMA and the National Press Authority, respectively, in order to meet their mandatory obligations toward workers in January and February.

In addition, EGP 122m was allocated to the GAHI in May in order to support female breadwinners, students, and children

Furthermore, the allocations included EGP 150.9m to the ENR to support students’ December and January subscriptions.

Noteworthy, EGP 104.5m were allocated for the ministry of social solidarity, and EGP 5.2m was allocated to the Supreme Council of Culture to pay for January and February’s salaries of the employees, and for the Misr Company for Sound and Light.

Also, EGP 85.9m have been allocated to the General Authority for Cairo Cleaning and Beautification, in order to pay its dues.
