Pharos heads EGX league in March with transactions of EGP 26bn, 31% market share

Pharos Securities Brokerage snapped up the top spot for transactions among securities brokerage companies on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) during March, advancing eight positions.

The firm reported a market share of 31.4% of total transactions, with a turnover of EGP 26.06bn.

In runner-up position, the Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell one place from its previous place in the top spot, with transactions amounting to EGP 5.6bn. CIB had a market share of 6.8% of the total market trades during March, executed on 1.5 billion securities.

Beltone fell two places to come in third place, with a market share of 5.9%, and transactions amounting to EGP 4.9bn. This took place through the implementation of 56,600 transactions on 1.3 billion securities.

The Financial Group advanced two positions to fourth place, with a market share of 5.3% and transactions amounting to EGP 4.3bn.

Hermes came in fifth place, down three places, with transactions amounting to EGP 4.04bn and a market share of 4.9% through the implementation of 127,000 transactions.

Mubasher took sixth place, down three places, grabbing a 4.2% market share and transactions amounting to EGP 3.5bn. It was followed by Pioneers in seventh place, also down three positions, with trades amounting to EGP 2.4bn and a market share of 2.9%.

Arqaam advanced two positions to settle in eighth place, with transactions amounting to EGP 2.3bn, followed by Arabiya Online in ninth place, retreating two positions with trades of EGP 1.9bn.

Sigma fell two places, to settle in 10th with transactions amounting to EGP 1.4bn and a market share of 1.8%, through the implementation of 52,300 transactions.
