Industry ministry to offer 2 million sqm in Sadat City next month

Minister of Industry and Trade Tarek Kabil said that the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), affiliated to the ministry, will offer 2 million sqm of new land to investors in Sadat City as well as three new industrial clusters equipped with licences in the 10th of Ramadan City.

Kabil added that the ministry will implement a total of 15 clusters, including 8 in Upper Egypt.

On Saturday, the minister handed over the contracts of the first phase of the new lands in Sadat City, which has a total area of 2.4 million sqm for the engineering, food, and pharmaceutical industries.

Kabil pointed out that this area includes a small industrial cluster comprising 296 units, which is scheduled to be completed in September to be the first complex llicences are delivered within the three clusters offered by the IDA in Sadat, Badr, and Port Said.

He noted that the availability of new lands is a top priority for the ministry. The ministry is expected to offer about 15 million sqm by the end of the current year to meet the needs of investors in all industrial sectors.

On 14 December, the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched the initiative of “your factory is ready to licence” for the first time in Egypt to offer 296 plots of lands for establishing factories in the small and medium industry cluster in Sadat City.

The lands are divided into 128 factories with an area of 300 sqm, 96 factories on 480 sqm, 24 factories on 560 sqm, and 48 factories on an area of 720 sqm.
