Referendum on the current constitutional draft set to begin on Saturday outside Egypt will be postponed till next Wednesday, announced head of the referendum committee.

Egyptians expats were expected to cast their votes, over four days, starting Saturday December 8.  Many diplomats have announced their refusal to oversee the voting process.

Protesters in Egypt have been demonstrating against President Mohamed Morsy’s constitutional decree and the constitutional referendum set for December 15.

Violent clashes ensued Wednesday night after Mulsim Brotherhood supporters attacked a peaceful sit-in by the presidential palace leading to six deaths and over 400 injuries.

Morsy has invited different political powers for talks Saturday morning who turned him down stipulating the removal of the presidential decree as a sign of good faith.
