Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif, Minister of Trade and Industry Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Minister of Agriculture Amin Abaza, Minister of Local Development Abdelsalam Mahgoub and Qaliubiya Governor Adly Hussein launched Makro Egypt’s second wholesale store. The Qaliubiya store comes two months after Makro’s first store in Salam City two months ago.
Rachid said, “Egypt’s retail market is one of the largest in the region and the potential for growth is still exponential, investors are recognizing this.”
The store spans nearly 10,000 square meters and offers exclusive access to business professionals, housing over 20,000 food and non food products, selling in bulk to traders, hospitality professionals and business companies.
Governor Hussein lauded the store for being a “source of employment to our local residents.”
