CAIRO: Ismaili explained how they are willing to pull their team out of the Egyptian Premier League without being subjected to any sanctions.

The coastal club announced their withdrawal from the domestic competition in protest over refereeing, following last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at Gaish.

Their decision was met with a pinch of salt by the Egyptian FA, who said that the parallel sanction would be demotion to the fourth division.

However, the Dervishes revealed the game they are about to play to escape punishment.

“We reject the FA threats because we are well aware of the regulations and know how to deal with it,” Ismaili spokesman Alaa Wahid told FilGoal.com.

“We can play the league with the youth team and then we shall forfeit decisive matches with top and bottom teams.”
