The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is working on its IT development exports programme and expanding its projects. ITIDA is pursuing a partnership with a foreign investment company to help it execute its strategy until the year 2020.

ITIDA plans to increase support for Egyptian exports through the authority’s communication centre, in addition to promoting Egyptian companies’ participation in international exhibitions and events in order to promote Egyptian brands.

The authority adopted a programme to develop IT corridors in order to strengthen exports. It aims to create a comprehensive atmosphere and environment to develop the IT and communications industry, and to place Egypt on the global map of communications and IT services. The programme is being executed through partnerships between the government and the private sector.

The authority is also preparing another programme to develop the IT industry’s capabilities through developing its human resources, both university educated employees and workers. In addition, the program aims to create an appropriate investment environment, and to provide training, consultation, and evaluation to meet global quality standards.

The programme is currently being implemented in co-operation with state authorities, private institutions, organisations, and companies working in the IT industry, in addition to universities and individuals.
