Arab African Bank signs agreement with Temenos, IBM to develop tech systems

The Arab African International Bank (AAIB) signed an agreement with leading banking systems company Temenos and IBM, specialised in manufacturing and developing software, to develop the bank’s core banking system.

The new system aims to improve and maintain the bank’s performance in the customer service field through developing the infrastructure of ATMs and electronic banking services. The system sustains the bank’s ability to communicate with its customers and understand their needs, as well as provide them with financial advice to help increase revenues from investments. The system will also contribute to increasing the size of expected business in addition to reducing potential risks.

In this regard, the bank’s CEO, Hassan Abdallah, stressed the importance of the human element, explaining that it is one of the most important pillars of growth. Abdallah added that there is awareness of the importance of investing in internal systems, and receiving the best technologies to maintain the bank’s leadership in the banking industry.
