European passenger car sales amount to EGP 3.66bn during H1 of 2015

The European passenger car market in Egypt achieved sales of EGP 3.66bn during the first half (H1) of 2015, out of total passenger car sales of EGP 16bn.

European brands sold 17,500 cars out of total sales of 95,000 cars, acquiring 18.4% of the passenger car market in Egypt.

Skoda Octavia headed the list of most sold European cars in Egypt, achieving sales of EGP 693m between January and June of 2015 with 3,651 sold cars.

Octavia acquired 3.8% of the passenger car market in Egypt, representing nearly 20.8% of the market share of sold European cars in Egypt.

Renault Logan cars achieved sales estimated at EGP 191m during the same period to occupy second place with 20,079 sold cars.

Opel Astra cars occupied third place on the list, achieving sales worth EGP 196m with 1,123 sold cars.
