Maserati, the Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer, decided to re-start its operations in Egypt after they were suspended in 2013.

Maserati said, in a press release, that it will work in the Egyptian market through its agency in Cairo. It is scheduled to open in the third quarter (Q3) of 2016 and is expected to provide a showroom and a service centre. This is in addition to a department for spare parts in all sales exhibitions that will be in line with Maserati’s international standards.

Mazerati’s return to Egypt is a commitment to its customers to meet their demand of exclusive luxury products, including in the automotive sector, executive director of Maserati Egypt Mohammed Kandil said. Maserati Egypt has invested more than $650,000 in sophisticated facilities. “The company is proud to launch the new Ghibli on its official opening,” Kandil said

The launch of Levante is the premier event expected in the coming months, Kandil added.

Egypt is an important market for Maserati, marketing director-general for Overseas Markets at Maserati Amaury La Fonta said. He explained that the company’s plans will focus on exclusivity, and thus these plans are built on the basis of selling dozens of cars, “which is, in fact, very exclusive”.

Owning a Maserati and experiencing its performance, professionalism, design, and sound is as distinctive as wearing a suit detailed on-demand in a world dominated by uniforms, he said.

Ghibli will be launched officially for the first time in Egypt, representing Ghibli S Q4, a sports E-segment sedan. It combines striking design with excellent performance to attract the hearts, souls and minds of car lovers and making the dream of owning a Maserati easier. According to the ancient traditions of Maserati, cars are named after winds and Ghibli is derived from the hot, dry and dust-laden desert wind.

Ghibli and Ghibli S cars are powered by six-cylinder V6 60° and have the capacity of an almost 3.0-litre engine.

Ghibli S comes with a strong 410 hp engine and accelerates up to 100 km/h speed in 5.0 seconds with top speed of 285 km/h. Ghibli S is optionally available in Q4 all-wheel drive system driving.

While Gebeily generates strong 330 hp, eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, a top speed of 263 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
