Six people were killed and 26 were injured in three road accidents on Thursday in different governorates across Egypt.

Fourteen Egyptian passengers were injured after a bus flipped over on Taba international road in central Sinai on Thursday.

Five emergency cars arrived to the scene to transfer the injured to Suez General hospital. Security forces informed the prosecution for investigations into the cause of the accident.

Meanwhile, six were killed and 12 injured in another two road accidents. The first accident took place after several cars collided into each other on Salah Salem road in Cairo, and the second took place after a bus flipped over on the Agricultural Road in the Beni Suef governorate.

The number of deaths resulting for road accidents continues to increase in Egypt. Accidents occur due to poor road infrastructure and insufficient speed control mechanisms.

Last week, six people were killed and eight were injured after several cars collided into each other on Ismailia desert road. Also last week, five people died and 27 others were injured in a train accident near Al-Ayyat, Giza.
