AXA Insurance Company launched a supplemental insurance policy for cars called “Auto GO”.

Gilbert Chahine, deputy CEO of AXA Egypt, said that his company started selling the new supplemental insurance policy this week.

AXA had previously offered supplemental insurance policies for transportation companies, but the new Auto GO policy is allocated for individuals.

Chahine told Daily New Egypt that the new policy covers car crashes, rollovers, theft, robbery, burning, and explosion.

He added that Auto GO also covers material damages caused by the client’s car at a maximum of EGP 10,000, in addition to road services for free.

The road services include towing the car in case of accidents and mechanical failure. It also offers to replace tires, charge the battery, and supply the car with gasoline.

Chahine pointed out that the new policy does not oblige the client to submit the police report, except in the cases of the car being totalled or stolen. Moreover, the policy does not cover spare parts except for the car’s mechanical components.

He added that AXA allows Auto GO policy holders to report car accidents online. The company then pays the compensation within three working days in case the car was repaired outside the company’s authorized network of maintenance centres.

AXA covers the repair value of cars at its maintenance centres, after it receives the centre’s approval within 24 hours from receiving the car. The company also provides customer service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
