Two policemen were killed on Monday in a raid on a drug dealers in Monifyia, while three others were injured, local media reported.
The two policemen were part of a force from Quesna police station who attacked the suspects. An exchange of fire took place resulting in the deaths and the injures.
The ministry of interior said that it intensified efforts are being done to capture the perpetrators and the weapons which were used in the attack. The statement pointed out the identity of one suspect, while asserting that others participated in blocking the attack.
