Ministry of Planning allocates EGP 34.3m to implement service projects

The Ministry of Planning, Monitoring, and Administrative Reform decided to allocate EGP 34.3m to support the implementation of several service projects in two universities, Tanta and Damanhour, according to a report issued by the ministry on Tuesday.

Minister of Planning Hala El-Said has approved the allocation of the specified amount and the redistribution of the investments in Tanta University to use them to purchase several machines and equipment for the Faculty of Dentistry. The cash needed to purchase these equipment is EGP 8m.

El-Said has also approved the allocation of additional investments worth EGP 3.8m to the different departments of the hospitals within the university, all of which is part of the framework to support the medical services there, where an extension of the Faculty of Dentistry will be completed as soon as possible to serve patients who visit the external clinics to obtain medical services, according to the ministry’s report.

As for Damanhour University, an amount of EGP 22.5m was allocated to the first and second phases of establishing a building for the Faculty of Dentistry.

The Minister of Planning has recently announced that the investments specified in the plan of the Ministry of Local Development will be increased by EGP 172m. The amount will be allocated to works including roads and bridges on the crossroad of Ismailia-Port Said Road and Cairo-Ismailia Road. The proposed works include six different projects in the governorates of Ismailia and Port Said.
