Despite launching its services in the mobile market as a fourth operator under the name “We”, Telecom Egypt managed to attract 1 million customers across Egypt, becoming the first company in Egypt to ever break a new record.

The current period is witnessing a strong struggle between the four mobile operators: Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat, and We, on the clients. Each of the companies is working to have its SIM card designated as the main SIM with clients, according to CEO of Linatel, Hamdy Ellaithy.

CEO and Managing Director of TE Ahmed El Beheiry said that the coming period will see more offers and new services to enrich clients’ experience and provide integrated sophisticated solutions to subscribers, in line with the fast pace of development in the telecommunication sector. He noted that the company is working to be the closest to consumers, stemming from its slogan: We are from you.

He explained that Telecom Egypt is making strides towards achieving leadership within the Egyptian telecommunication market, based on the company’s technical and operational expertise to win the confidence of its customers as the largest and oldest telecommunications company in the region.

In this context, Telecom Egypt has launched the World Cup points reward scheme to new and existing clients, where points can be collected on consumption of mobile balance and land line (Internet and calls). The first 1 million subscribers will be granted 100 points as a reward in the scheme. The top collectors will have the chance of cheering for the national team at Russian stadiums in 2018.
