Customs exchange rate to remain at EGP16 in December: Ministry of Finance

The customs exchange rate for US dollars is set to remain at EGP 16 in December, said the Ministry of Finance in a press statement on Wednesday.

The ministry said earlier today that the decision to stabilise the customs dollar rate is consistent with the continued strategy and stability of the currency exchange rate in the latest period and of the Egyptian economy in general.

On November 1, the Ministry of Finance had announced plans to stabilise the customs exchange rate at EGP16 until November 31.
