The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has begun a week-long training programme for its staff and other regulatory officials.

FRA Chairperson Mohammed Omran opened the programme on Sunday, 5 August. Members of the press are invited to the open session at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza in Cairo on Thursday 9 August 2018 at 9:30 am.

The programme, sponsored in part by Bloomberg, seeks to further the FRA’s goals to adopt and implement international best practices in an effort to develop a world-class capital market that will diversify the Egyptian economy and drive economic growth.

A high-level delegation of capital market experts from the United States and across the Middle East will take part in the programme, including representatives from Bloomberg, Blockchain, the National Organisation of Investment Professionals, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Moreover, during the programme, the FRA will also organise a public roundtable on capital market developments in Egypt, as well as US best practices.
