Egypt’s Minister for Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Assem El Gazzar, will outline the government’s vision for the real estate market in the two-day Cityscape Egypt conference which will start on Sunday at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza in Cairo.

The sixth conference will run under the slogan “Energising the Market and Revitalising Industry Confidence’.

“The conference is keenly anticipated by real estate professionals in the Egyptian market who will take the minister’s address as a roadmap for the industry in the country,” explained Chris Speller, Cityscape Group director at Informa Exhibitions, which organises the event.

The two-day conference will fall into distinct streams. The opening day will focus on gaining a strategic industry overview, while the second day will concentrate on the architecture, design, and technology trends impacting the Egyptian sector.

Over 30 speakers are lined up for the conference, including leading developers, financiers, business leaders, government officials, innovators, and strategists, to dive into pressing issues shaping the fortunes of Egypt’s real estate sector.

First day discussions will focus on several key issues, including opportunity zones and urban logistics, the key steps being taken to invigorate the market and attract investors, and how middle-class buyers can be better served by a mature mortgage market and strategies for real estate exporting to appeal to overseas institutional investors.
