FBG increases its transaction volume to EGP 4.2bn in June

The market’s largest three brokerage companies maintained their market shares in June, though the volume of their transactions has been doubled compared to the previous month.

The improvement in transaction volume in June came in conjunction with the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Financial Brokerage Group (FBG) topped the list of brokerage firms in terms of transaction volume reaching EGP 4.2bn in June, representing 18.4% of the total transaction volume. The Commercial International Brokerage Company (CIBC) ranked second with a total transaction volume of EGP 2.3bn, representing a market share of 9.9%.

Hermes Securities Brokerage came third, with transaction volume of EGP 1.4bn, which secured a market share of 6.3%.

Beltone Securities Brokerage climbed from eighth place in May to fourth in June, with a transaction value of EGP 1.1bn, up from EGP 115m, and a market share of 4.8%.

In the fifth place came SIGMA Capital Securities Brokerage with a transaction value of EGP 1bn, representing a market share of 4.5%.

Arqaam Securities Brokerage retained its 6th position with a transaction value of EGP 971.6m and a market share of 4.3%. Pioneers Securities came in the seventh place with a transaction value of EGP 927.5m and a market share of 4.1%. In the eighth place was Mubasher Securities with a transaction value of EGP 879m, and a market share of 3.8%.

As for Pharos Securities Brokerage, its position declined significantly from the previous month in which it ranked fourth. It dropped to the ninth place with a transaction value of EGP 692.8m and a market share of 3%. HC Securities & Investment came at the end of the list with a transaction value of EGP 658.2m and a market share of 2.9%, according to the monthly report of Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
