CSR Arabia restructured to transform sustainability goals to dynamic industry

CSR Arabia has unveiled its advanced strategic plan to implement from 2020 to 2025, with the aim of transforming sustainable development goals from adoption to implementation by transforming the concept of sustainability into a vital industry, and a basic engine of the national economy. It plans to spread awareness among companies of the importance of integrating and embedding sustainability plans and strategies within their business models, in line with the country’s strategy, and national sustainable development goals.

CSR Arabia said in a statement Monday that in order to achieve this ambitious strategic plan, the company has been restructured to include in its board of directors a group of national experiences capable of implementing its strategy and meeting its future aspirations, and the use of diverse national experiences in various vital sectors. This is meant to represent the main engine of the national economy, and contribute to advancing sustainable development.

The Board of Directors of the company includes experts in the field of industry represented by Hossam Farid, vice-chairperson and CEO of the Allweiler-Farid Pumps and Ahmed Mashhour, the managing director of the Egyptian Consulting and Trading co. (Actra), and in the field of financial and investment markets Mohsen Adel, former president of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI). The board also includes Shady Gaber, managing director of Chemonics Egypt Consultants, and in the field of construction and housing Omar Sabbour, Vice Chairperson of Hussein Sabbour Consulting, Nevin Abdel Khalek, Vice President of the Consulting Engineers Group, and chairperson of the Commission on Sustainable Development at Egyptian Businessmen Association.

The board of directors of the company includes expertise in the field of education represented by Amr El-Seginy, CEO of LONG Learning environments, and in the field of food industries Bassem Kalila, chairperson of Kalila Group, and in the field of government and international relations Shereen Shaheen, head of Regional Corporate Affairs for North Africa , Pakistan, Levant, and Egypt, Microsoft. In the field of preparing and writing reports on sustainability and providing consultancy Ehab Shalaby,  founder and CEO of DCarbon, and in the field of restructuring and financial consulting Mohamed Nader, CEO of Archer Finance Leasing, and in the area of business development, Hassan Mostafa, founder of CSR Arabia.
