Nine killed as fierce clashes continue on Azerbaijan-Armenia border

At least nine people were killed on the northern Azerbaijan-Armenia border on Tuesday, as fierce clashes continued.
Seven Azerbaijani servicemen, including two high-ranking officers and a civilian, were killed in the border clashes, Azerbaijani Deputy Defence Minister Karim Valiyev was quoted by Azerbaijan State News Agency as saying.
Two Armenian Armed Forces troops were killed in the clashes, Armenian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan announced on Facebook, adding that an Azerbaijani drone was shot down by Armenian forces.
