And accordingly, Orange Egypt has initiated its diversified Corporate Social Responsibility campaigns, on the occasion of Ramadan by distributing food supplies to the needy families in all governorates of the republic, in cooperation with Orman Association.

Orange headquarters in the Smart Village hosted the Food boxes packing in collaboration with Orange employees and university students while Orman Association will distribute the boxes to needy families across Egypt’s governorates through the association’s branches in cooperation with university students.

The campaign comes as part of Orange Egypt annual charitable activities as well as its Corporate Social Responsibility role in helping and supporting the people at need by providing them with food boxes of basic and essential food.

Hala Abdel-Wadoud, Head of Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility & Quality Management at Orange Egypt stated that, the company pays considerable attention to charitable activities that directly distribute food aids on the neediest families, especially in light of the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic that had a negative impact on the economy as well as the people.

Abdel-Wadood added that the campaign supports Egypt’s role in supporting the neediest groups of people by ensuring and providing basic food needs and essentials for the families throughout Ramadan with the aim of easing the burden on women responsible for those families. The food supplies will also provide children with sufficient food necessaries for carrying out their daily activities.

Abdel Wadood thanked Orange employees, who were keen on participating in the campaign, whether through packaging, or distributing the boxes, in cooperation with university students as part of their societal responsibility. She also thanked the university students who devoted their effort to participate in this charitable initiative, which directly affects the Egyptian community and enhancing the students’ role in social responsibility to create a state of cooperation and cohesion among all segments of society.
