The Engineering Exports Council of Egypt (EECE) has announced that it aims to expand in multiple international markets in 2021, to create new opportunities for the country’s engineering industries to boost their exports.

Mai Helmy, the Executive Director at the EECE, said the council’s plan included its participation in several activities that guarantee the inclusion of all Egypt’s engineering industry sectors.

Helmy announced that, as part of these expansion efforts, the EECE is also organising two trade missions for this year. This includes one in Zambia, which will take place from 19 to 23 September, whilst the other will take place in Ghana from 21 to 25 November.

Aside from the EECE financially supporting the member companies on these missions, it also aims to target all engineering sectors in Egypt.

The missions work mainly on holding several B2B matchmaking meetings with buyers from Africa, in order to increase the potential of Egyptian products in the continent’s markets, raise Egypt’s engineering exports, and expand further in the continent.

Moreover, the EECE’s plan includes launching the HATS exhibition, which is the first Egyptian hosted buyers event specialised in Home Appliances, Kitchenware, and Tableware.

The HATS exhibition is a unique platform for international buyers to connect with the top Egyptian manufacturers during the two-day event, which will include: showcasing the exhibitors’ detailed profiles; one-on-one meetings; in addition to specialised webinars that will explore updates and capabilities in the Egyptian market.

This year’s exhibition aims to host 100 foreign buyers on the sidelines of the event for pre-arranged B2B meetings with participating Egyptian companies. This includes arranging field visits to the headquarters of factories and companies, so that the foreign buyers can become closely acquainted with the ability and capabilities of Egyptian engineering industries.

The EECE is also organising an Egyptian pavilion at Wetex Dubai, which will be held from 5 to 7 October 2021. The event specialises in the water, electricity, and new and renewable energy sectors.

The council is also organising an Egyptian pavilion at the Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition in Dubai, from 7 to 9 November 2021, focusing on packaging machinery and equipment, in addition to the food processing manufacturing sectors
