Ahmed Saleh appointed as Minister of Trade and Industry

Ahmed Samir Saleh was appointed as the new Minister of Industry and Trade, succeeding Nevine Gamea.

He will leave his current position as head of the economic committee at the House of Representatives.

Saleh was previously the vice chairperson of the Canal for Plastic Company.

He also served as the vice president of the 6th of October Investors Association. He has been a member of the 6 October City’s Board of Trustees since February 2015.

During his time in the parliament, he introduced several legislative amendments to develop the industrial sector, and played a role in the issuance of the Unified Investment Law.
