MSMEDA to take part in BiznEX on 9-10 December

The Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has announced its participation at the third edition of the International Business Expo in Egypt (BiznEX).

The 2020 edition, which will take place on 9-10 December, will be held under the auspices of the Egyptian Cabinet and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. It will witness the participation of the General Authority for Investments and Free Zones (GAFI), the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, and the Ministry of Public Enterprises Sector.

Minister of Trade and Industry and MSMEDA head Nevine Gamea said the agency aims to assist small investors and encourage local production according to international standards.

She added that the agency will provide its services during its participation at this year’s exhibition to everyone who wishes to establish or expand a project. This opportunity is also available through the agency’s branches which are located across Egypt

The minister said that MSMEDA aims to provide all forms of support to young entrepreneurs in light of the state’s interest in MSMEs.

“MSMEDA provides information to project owners and even provides business ideas to whoever wishes to do so, in addition to making financial and marketing services available,” Gamea said.

She also said that BiznEX has successfully attracted many participants at its previous two sessions, which encouraged the ministry and the agency to support that pioneering experience of exhibitions and conferences.

The minister added that BiznEX will provide an excellent opportunity to market industrial units offered by the state through the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) and MSMEDA. These are located in many industrial complexes across Egypt, and are supported by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

Gamea indicated that MSMEDA will provide all aspects of support and assistance to the owners of these units if they are allocated, as they will be assisted in obtaining legal documents and licences.

Furthermore, facilitated funds will also be made available for the purchase of machinery and equipment, and the provision of the necessary financial liquidity to start the project. This will take place under the conditions and controls approved by the agency.

Gamea emphasised that the facilities currently provided by the state are a real opportunity for all young entrepreneurs, whether in the formal or informal sectors. It will be particularly useful for those who wish to establish an industrial project, expand their production, and obtain a decent industrial unit with full services.

Malak El Ashiry, Managing Director and Co-Founder of BiznEX, said that this year’s exhibition includes various sections, including the investment and export sector, the fiscal and financial sector, the services and consulting sector, the government sector and the real estate sector.

She added that the 2020 exhibition will present a grand prize for entrepreneurship for the first commercial deal to be held during the conference and the best entrepreneurship project.
