Under the patronage of Governor of Luxor Mohamed Badr and with Oppo Egypt’s cooperation, Cairo Runners organised an initiative to run a distance of 7 km down the Luxor Corniche, amidst its fabulous historical landmarks.

The competitors ran from Luxor Temple to Karnak Temple by the shore of the Nile, passing through the historical temples. Oppo Egypt gave away smartphone prizes, which were personally handed to prize winners by the governor in a wonderful celebratory atmosphere.

“I think such a run by Luxor’s Corniche, with the participation of foreigners and Egyptians, is the clearest reassuring message from the hub of antiquities, and a great encouragement for tourism in this time. I am very glad you are in Luxor and I would like to thank Cairo Runners and Oppo Egypt for their efforts to encourage tourism in the city,” Badr said during the event.

Oppo Egypt handed out prizes to the runners who participated in the initiative as a way to encourage domestic tourism and a call for more people to participate in such events to strengthen tourism and encourage foreign tourism to Luxor.
