In a celebration held 10 August at the historical Salah El-Din Citadel in Cairo, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Egypt (FCA Egypt) launched Fiat Professional’s newest addition: the all-new Fullback pick-up for multiple commercial use. The new Fullback is a light commercial vehicle with renowned durability, functionality, and competitive pricing.

CEO of FCA Egypt Don Smith, chairperson of Nile Engineering (the official dealer for Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Fiat Professional in Egypt) Ayman El-Ayouty, and CEO of Nile Engineering Hisham El-Tayeby received and welcomed the heads of companies and automotive media guests.

In his speech, Smith commented: “This significant launch marks the entry of Fiat Professional to a new territory, which is the medium-size pick-up category for multiple commercial use, thus opening a new successful chapter in the history of Fiat Professional. It is through a strong dealer, Nile Engineering, that it is able to fulfil customers’ needs everywhere.”

El-Tayeby mentioned that Nile Engineering is ready to provide premium services for Fiat Professional clients. Spare parts, maintenance, and regular check-ups are provided on Nile Engineering’s premises, providing an excellent experience and advanced capacities.

In his product presentation, Joseph Daniel—Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Fiat Professional brand manager at FCA Egypt—confirmed that the new Fullback provides a robust design and proven technical reliability, completed by an Italian style touch. The new Fullback pick up offers significant characteristics including space, comfort, and technological features, in addition to providing best-in-class on-board accommodation and excellent dynamic performances.

With Fullback, the Fiat Professional Brand makes a strong entry into the medium-size pick-up segment in the EMEA region, where 650,000 units were sold in 2015 (22% of total sales in the LCV segment). This share is even larger in the Middle East (66%) and in Africa (62%).

This is, therefore, a highly strategic launch, and the new Fullback will definitely play a leading role in the segment.

The Fullback will be equipped with a 4×2 diesel 2.5L engine, 106hp and five speed manual transmission.

Built for facing even the most challenging missions, Fullback boasts a large load capacity and a very high degree of strength, which is mostly due to its ladder frame. Its capacity is more than one tonne and its towable weight is up to three tonnes.

The Fullback has sporty proportions with its reduced front overhang and a touch of Italian style in line with the new stylistic mark of the brand. The interiors reflect the functionality of a work vehicle as well as the comfort and elegance of a high range commercial vehicle.

Perfectly in line with the best of the competition in terms of configuration, dimensions and engines, Fiat Professional’s new pick-up comprises a complete range of variants that will be adapted to the specific needs of each individual in the Egyptian market. In Egypt, the Fullback will be provided in a Single Cab configuration and a distinctive trim level.

The Fullback pick up complements the product range of Fiat Professional.  It is a “work hero” designed to meet the real needs of professional customers and to face the requirements of daily life.  Its launch in the Egyptian market is further confirmation that Fiat Professional, with its unique Italian designs and optimised specifications, is the best choice for a multitude of fleet applications.
